How to share a password safely
A password pasted into chat stays in chat. A password sent as a self-destructing link does not.
- 1Paste the password into the box on the home page.
- 2Leave the defaults: one view, twenty-four hours.
- 3Copy the link and send it however you normally would.
- 4You get a receipt when it is opened; after that the ciphertext is gone.
Send the password and its username separately if you can. Two channels are meaningfully harder to intercept than one.
