Before you share

A few useful answers.

Does the recipient need an account?

A standard link can be opened without an account. A gated link requires access to the allowed mailbox.

Is a receipt an electronic signature?

No. A receipt records a delivery event. It does not establish agreement, identity or proof that the contents were read.

Does link expiry enforce our retention policy?

No. It governs availability through SecretPaste, not recipient copies or records held in other systems.
